Flashing Lyra ubuntu image to SD card from Linux

I can't find any instructions for how to do this. The tools in the documentation is windows only, and the ubuntu zip file contains multiple files which makes me thing I can't just use dd to write the bin to the SD card. Any help appriciated
Hello , unfortunately Rockchip does not provide a tool to burn images to TF under linux. Although only update.img is required for actual burning, the tool provided by Rockchip will read the image information to the SD card partition before writing to the image, and cannot directly use the dd command to write to the image

Thanks! Do you know how he created these images from yours? It doesn't look like he's planning on updating them as you release new images
