When the 'Erase' button in RKDevTool is pressed, is it performing an 'Erase All' (a full chip wipe), or is it only erasing the main firmware partitions? If it's a full erase, it would wipe the MiniLoaderAll.bin (SPL/TPL), which would explain why the subsequent flash attempt fails to boot the device into a state where it can accept the full image.
