We installed a sdio interface WIFI module on the Pico Max, and also porting the driver to the kernel.
It works fine for sdio 1 wire. But as long as we use 4 wire sdio, the SDIO R/W error occurs.

Could you please give some advice about the possible reason for this case?

Hello, we have no plan to adapt the wifi module to the SD card slot of pico max, we can't be sure if your hardware design is correct and matches our design.
So we have not encountered a type of situation, unfortunately we can't provide relevant advice.
