Hi everyone,

I'm facing a strange issue with my Raspberry Pi 5 and a 10.1" HD touchscreen display. When using a standard HDMI cable, everything works flawlessly. However, when I switch to a 120mm HDMI cable, the connection appears to be active, but the screen remains blank.

OS / uname -a: Linux raspberrypi 6.6.74+rpt-rpi-2712 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.6.74-1+rpt1 (2025-01-27) aarch64 GNU/Linux

What I’ve Tried So Far:
I added the following parameter to cmdline.txt:

To check if the monitor is detected, I ran kmsprint, which returned:

It looks like the display is being recognized, but no image is showing. Previously, the following settings from this manual (https://wiki.luckfox.com/Display/10.1in ... uchscreen/) worked:

hdmi_mode=87
hdmi_cvt 1024 600 60 6 0 0 0

However, they no longer seem to have any effect.

The Big Question:
Why does the display work perfectly with a standard HDMI cable, but not with the 120mm HDMI cable? Could it be a signal integrity issue, power limitation, or something else?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hello

Have you verified that your 120mm HDMI cable is working properly? For example, can it display normally when connected to other HDMI screens?
