Am new on here and after much debate decided to get my hands on a pico to see how well it would work as a controller for a project i am working on. I have had much back and forth between the MAX and ULTRA variants as well as been going through their respective documentation as well as the SDK. I am really new to imbedded linux so dont exactly know how the configuration works but has me wondering. I ordered a Pico Max since it has support for FBTFT in order to drive a ILI9341 display on my board. I see the sdk has an entry for the ili9341 controller in the fbtft folder yet the wiki says only 2 controllers are supported (sv something). Does that mean even though the configuration is in the fbtft folder luckfox pico still cant use it? Also, considering both the max and ultra are using the same chip is there a reason the max cannot be compiled for emmc boot (it only has options for sdcard or flash)? If i like this i want to eventually manually integrate the rv mpu into my schematic but would like to have the emmc and ili9341 display support . . . but only the ultra has emmc option in the sdk and only the max and under have the fbtft support . . . can these still be combined or will they always be seperated by the sdk (as in if i use the max as a base will i still be able to have emmc support or if ultra have fbtft support)? Sorry for the bad question but like i said this is my first time looking at imbedded linux, have only previously worked with microcontrollers.

Hello, FBTFT is also supported on Luckfox Pico Ultra, but the Luckfox Pico Ultra has enabled RGB by default, so the pin is occupied. There is no extra pin that can be used to drive other screens by FBTFT. We did not adapt the TFT screen for Luckfox Pico Ultra, so there is no method provided in the corresponding Luckfox-config and wiki

Hey thanks for the reply, sorry i didnt get to it till now but after further testing I ended up tasking another chip that acts as a peripheral controller to just directly drive the display. While i did manage to get fbtft to work spi just not have the speed needed and offloading the work was in my better interest regardless it turned out.
