Why does USB Not appear in luckfox-config on LYRA board / image ???
Posted: 2026-04-30 15:28
I am using LYRA Board with Ubuntu_Luckfox_LYRA_MicroSD_250417 image.
When I run LuckFox-config, USB is not in the menu, just SPI + I2C + UART ...
The Usb-A interface is sitting on the board unused.
---
I tried booting with power to VSys = 5V.
I am using a small SD to USB Adapter ( with a 4GB SD Card tested fine on windows ), plugged into Lyra board flat 4pin usb connector via USB-A cable.
Lyra Board : usb-4pin -> cable -> USB-A-Socket -> Usb-to-SD-Socket <- 4GB SD Card
# ls Usb Platform :
lyra@luckfox:~$ ls /sys/devices/platform/
sudo echo host | tee /sys/devices/platform/ff2b0000.usb2-phy/otg_mode
=> host
# Plugged in USB flash adapter / 4GB SD Card
plugin usb-to-sdcard :
dmesg | grep usb
[ 439.361364] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, device number 2
[ 444.747928] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using dwc2
[ 444.949110] usb-storage 1-1:1.0: USB Mass Storage device detected
[ 444.949750] scsi host0: usb-storage 1-1:1.0
# => Meaning what ? - Why don't I see /dev/sdb ???
ls /dev
=> only /dev/sda , no /dev/sdb
lyra@luckfox:~$ ls /dev
- But still can not see the USB or /dev/sdb devices :
mount /dev/sdb1 /mnt/sdcard
=> mount: /mnt/sdcard: special device /dev/sdb1 does not exist.

How am I supposed to Enable the USB-A Interface for usage ???

Your webpage states that when I plug Flash drive in USB , I should see :
dmesg

Why is it calling it sda ??? :

ok, so its sda/sda1 then.
I guess it works.
I can see the 4GB SD crad on the /mnt/sdcard
I thought the OS card was sda/sda1
