Seems I burnt my UART2; any alternative?

  • All interfaces are directly output from the chip, so any damage cannot be repaired. I will compile an image for you using UART7 (GPIO3_C4, GPIO3_C5) as the debug serial port.

  • Thank U! Is this UART7 used by maskrom mode as well or only by the Linux kernel?

  • Please download the image again. The image uploaded yesterday did not include the updated U-Boot, so it could only output kernel logs.

The new image has been updated and should work correctly.

  • Thank you. But what about the rockchip loader that loads u-boot? The loader that helps to flash u-boot. I think its part of rkbin. When I try to flash new u-boot, with uart2 gone, I'm blind.

  • Forget it, my Core3566 is booting no more! https://ferryfair.com/md.html?files/notes/Core3566.md is the work I've done on it so far. I'm on verge of getting IMX219 and OV5647 cameras working on Linux-7. I'm gonna stop here. The Waveshare-IO-base-B is working fine with BPi CM4. Goodbye to Luckfox and Rockchip; U r very fragile! My RPi3B is still kicking without a hiccup past 13 years!!

The cloud drive provides a complete firmware package, including U-Boot, kernel, and RootFS. If you only need the updated uboot.img, we can provide it separately.

We are truly sorry that the core board can no longer be used. The debug pins are directly connected to the chip, so there is an inherent risk of damaging the hardware when connecting external devices. We really wanted to help and have done our best, but unfortunately, it’s beyond our control.

We wish your project every success!
