You were absolutely correct!! Thank you so much. Once I logged in to the pico I did: TERM=xterm and then I can run luckfox-config and enable CSI. Now I can see the camera!! I would suggest that luckfox-config put out a better error message if it can't use the $TERM variable. It's just a little weird...
